Jim McKay

Me in brief

I took electrical engineering at UBC and am a member of IEEE and EGBC. I've been a design engineer, led teams of engineers and electronics manufacturing staff, and led the installation of magnetoencephalography (MEG) systems in Asia, Europe, and North America. Since 2010, I have been running Candoo Systems Inc., including consulting on OPM MEG R&D with Sandia National Labs and MEG installations for Ricoh Medical, and distributing fluxgate magnetometers and related systems in North America.

I live in Port Coquitlam BC with my wife Pam. Our son, daughter-in-law, and grandson live nearby. I enjoy physical activity outdoors, including cycling and open-water swimming in the summer, and Nordic skiing in the winter. I also play tennis and golf regularly in the summer and hike in the local mountains.
